Freedom Bound Episode 3: Mateu

IN WHICH OUR DUDETTE FINDS HERSELF LOOKING FOR SOMETHING ELSE…

My apologies to all that visited this site earlier. I’ve had some issues with my computer (read water on the keyboard) and this fell off the radar. It’s all fixed now. 😀

So here we are, Episode 3 is being rereleased on Amazon in just a week! New cover. Rebrand. And new edits to tighten it up.

What is in the new book? Why is it better? Why do you need it? There’s less naval gazing and more trust in the reader to understand and inhabit the world.

In this scene, Corrie, our heroine, is pondering the boredom of interstellar travel in JumpSpace.

The public baths were the land of zipless circle jerks.

In the past, in the Corps, she’d be in with both feet and some spare orifices. That wasn’t now. That wasn’t here.

She didn’t know them.

She didn’t trust them.

They were all still the enemy.

Corrie’s could hear the echo of her mother’s voice saying, “Boredom is the enemy of the creative.” Drunk and high, Elaine Scott left an indelible twisted imprint of family on her daughter. The Corps fulfilled the need.

And that’s Episode 3’s clip this week.

FREEDOM BOUND Description

Bodice Ripping Ninjas in Space! Freedom Bound is Firefly meets Buck Rogers with a bit of boudoir. Welcome to the Solar Flame universe where corporate suzerains control the universe, or do they? Each book unravels yet another thread of the Freedom Road for the reader to continually discover.

In Freedom Bound, Corrie Scott, late of Frobisher Corporation finds herself unleashed in enemy territory alone for the first time in her life. But she is plagued by the threat of corporate slavery and devilishly handsome Mat Parker. Together they must battle through ridiculous red tape, space pirates, and backstabbing double crosses. Can they trust each other long enough to win this dangerous game?

More of the series will be populating the other vendors this month.

  1. Did you intentionally repeat a block of text? Like she’s repeating everything to emphasize how bored she is? Whatever, interesting how her mind works.
